The Sun, Sand, and Surf of Tybee
White-tipped waves beat the sandy shores of Tybee Island.
Colossal barges and trading sips sail the seven seas; claiming their watery throne.
Tall sea grasses swish around in the wind with elegance unmatched by even the best dancers.
The scorching sunlight explodes onto the shore creating a blinding array of sunbeams.
They danced around the water glistening, and then shining on the sand like pure gold.
Clouds abandon the area so the sky is as clear and blue as the very ocean it hovers above.
Screeching in our ears, seagulls shout their deafening calls that all beaches grow accustomed to.
The happy shouts of joy from all the happy tourists saturate the air with excitement.
Gently rolling waves crash upon the shore in a steady rhythm that makes Tybee such a great place to be.
O, but why must there exist people who treat Tybee as nothing but a trash can?
How do they simply dump their trash and allow it to sit there wastefully?
Will they learn, or will they allow Tybee to decay away into nothing but a mere dump?
Tybee Island brings back memories of all the other beaches I’ve been to with its snow-white sand and relaxing sea breeze that oozes stress right out of me.
It shows all who visit what it truly means to be at a beach by driving home all the elements that make it so enjoyable.
It makes me wish I could just lie there forever while basking in the Sun.
Sun, Sand, and Surf.
