Rainy Day Cliché

I keep remembering the day
When you told me you
Loved the rain
And I keep finding myself
Trying to be more and more
Like it
Not a single rainy day has passed
Where I haven't thought of you
(Or any day, really)
I don't hide from
Water droplets anymore
They are harmless,
Unlike my feelings for you
I am the rain
For I fell for you too hard
And too fast
And crashed into the pavement
The only difference is
You didn't love me
On this rainy day
