When I grow old,
I want to be
caring,
loving,
kind,
loyal
and a peaceful person.
I want to be a teacher or nurse.
I don’t know how it will work.
Maybe a nurse during the day,
professor at night, maybe the opposite.

When I grow old,
I want to be caring and kind
just like my grandmother.
I want to be helpful and friendly.
I know it is a bunch but
I will make it work.

When I grow old,
I will have a family.
I will be one of the best mothers in the world.
I will be supportive and loving.
I will wait to see what life gives me.

When I grow old,
I will have grandchildren of my own.
Sitting in my rocking chair,
until my days are done.
I want to be
caring,
loving,
kind,
loyal
and a peaceful person.
But that destination is a long way from here.

We were writing a poetry quick write and I started writing about the future. It turned out I really liked it.
