Moving Forward
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six
Same exact thing every single day
Nothing ever really Changes
class after class, day after day, hour after hour
The minutes just seem to melt away
But nothing ever really changes
In a flash three years have past
Leaving a trail of blood, sweat, and tears behind them
Moving towards a destination unknown
A mask is worn to show growth and development
But that is only a façade because nothing really changes
One more year to go then you’ll be at the finish line
“Enjoy it while it last,” they preach “ you only live once!”
You say you will but that’s just another lie
because the whole thing really just seems like a complete waste of time
One more year and everything will be said and done
The moment you have been waiting for your whole life
An overwhelming sense of freedom and excitement washes over you
Until the realization that the infinite cycle of boredom starts all over again
Because nothing ever really changes
