I am from memories that I cannot remember.
From handmade quilts: made in the winter, every winter.
I am from reading about things that do not exist
But wishing they did.
I am from marathons of anything that has “star” in the title.
I am from living in the same state, in the same town, on the same street, in the same house
My entire Life
Reminiscing on the past, dreaming of the future, and hoping for the present.

I’m not really where I’d like to be
But I’m fine with that for now, you see
Because if life is a game, then I’ll make my own rules.
This place I’m at is really bizarre,
Caught in between trying too hard and not trying at all
Not fitting in, and going unnoticed anyway
Not contributing, but having lots to say
I’m content in the fact that I Don’t Know
But not satisfied that I can’t find out.

It’s not the seconds that count
But what they amount to.
Things that have yet to happen are that way for a reason.
I’m going to be different: tomorrow, next week, next year, next decade.
If education is Key, then what is the door?
I suppose I’ll have to wait to find out.
Everyday a new goal is made, everyday another goal is forgotten.
My future is set, but not quite in stone.
