Rainy Day MAG
Your senses go on high alert
 When the cool raindrops dance
 On your bare skin
 Goosebumps come out
 To watch their fluid movement

 Each droplet tramples the grass
Creating a symphony of pitter patter
 Nature's music

 The petrichor smell
 Brings fantasies
Of places you have yet to see
 Visions of lost waterfalls
 And the expansive sea

 Water kisses your lips
 A thousand brief pecks
 Each droplet slides away
Leaving a coolness in its wake

 Thousands of stars
 Fall from the sky
 Their glittering shapes rush down
 Excited to be embraced by
 Their mother Nature
 She hugs them tight
 Right into the ground

You are teetering at the edge of awareness
 Water logs your thoughts
 Tucking them away
 For a moment of relaxation
Once all the rain has fallen
 They will be overwhelmed
 Taking in the subtle glory
 Of our humble earth
