This is my room,

My room is quiet,
my room is dark,
My room is a mess for others, but never for me
My room is my castle.

Mom always asks me,
"why do you spend so much time in there?"
"why don't you sit with the family?"
"why don't you spend more time with us?"

All i can think is,
"because its quiet and dark, because I'm not judged there."
"because we are just people in a house, not a family."
"because judgement and tension fill the air when we all sit in a room
Together."

This is my room.
