Long Distance
4,850 miles separate us but don't you cry,
our time together I'll never forget.
Deep in my heart I feel a huge debt,
as the minutes, hours and days go by.
Not having you here has made me tongue-tied.
Raspy my lungs like smoked cigarettes.
the times not spent together make me regret,
as I struggle and try to be the tough guy.
At the sound of your voice cracking through wires
I feel like a knife slashed through my heart.
I simply cannot stand us being apart.
Through this love I am inspired;
to try and not miss you so much my love
to try and not love you so much my dear
