The Stairway That Materred
Halfway down the case
Is a stair where I sat
There isn’t any other stair
Quite like that.
I’m not at the bottom
I’m not at the top
Neither in the middle
But some where between the riddle.
I sat there my whole life
Always having a bright look from my wife.
When my knees were strong
And my view no blurred
I would look at the bottom
And with all my strength resist the down fall
Cause nothing mattered more than being near that wall.
When I was out
And no one was in the house
The stair would miss me like a spouse.
I still regret that day
When I moved out and left her alone
With nothing but a plate of me.
I hope those days come back to me
Cause nothing mattered more than being near that wall
And the staircase on which I once lay.
