I am momentary
And thought is kind of scary
That life is only temporary
And there’s no time guarantee.
But then again there’s me
Born with an expiration date
A limit no one can compensate
And it’s hard to consecrate
When you’re slowly loosing days
When you’re slipping away
And reality is so close
It makes you want to overdose
On whatever medication the doctor has diagnosed
Because you just want it to end
Like a bad relationship with a boyfriend
So “Hand over scalpel and the knife”
Its behind your back so don’t bother to strife
This is life.
Filled with blues
And “Can I live your shoes?”

Sometimes I like to think it was a mishap
Things miss-overheard from a chit chat
And someone else started this crap
Because I don’t like blame
Or guilt jus the same
And I don’t know how I could have caused this mess
There are questions I choose to oppress
Because the people I must address
Are the ones I must thank
To be frank
Even if this is a onetime deal
It was for real
And I was allowed to feel
Life’s little bliss
So momentary like this
Filled with dark sides and light
And maybe they were right
Live today like your last
Because life comes and will pass
Fast
Before your eyes
And the next thing you know you’re subsiding
Riding the last bits of air
And you learn that you should have cared
When you had those seconds to spare
Late is not something you want to be
Not if you’re like me
When the definition of limit is pined to your skin
And the only this keeping you in
Is medicine.

Originally I only had the first line(which was salvaged from an older piece). I had pondered over what to do with it for the majority of the summer but struggled with writers block. So finally it clicked and I managed to type this up. I hope readers will be inspired by this and find their own new way to express their thoughts.
