Fresh tears in the dark,
I regret everything.
My pulse only comes
with the memories of you.
My hands redden with pain.
I let your light blow out.
I am so sorry.
caved in,
broke down,
slipped.
You never deserved the scars of my past,
you have your own.
Under the lights,
what is your choice?
All I ever did was hurt you.
Yet, all you ever did was try.
Fall into my darkness,
it is a horrible place;
my light blew out long ago.
I hid it from you.
My emptiness is a flaw
in society’s eyes.
Your love scared me away.
You are flawless,
loved,
you have light.
I was jealous.
You offered me your light
I let it out.
Frustration and anger.
I hate myself.
You never deserved this.
I am truly sorry.
I plead that one day
you will find a beautiful soul
to relight your heart;
make you whole once again.
I would give you myself,
my heart,
if only I had one to give.
Forgive me
my one and only,
my true love,
the only one
who lights up my world.
