"Learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow. The most important thing is to not stop questioning." ~Albert Einstein

It looks like fireworks shooting
Up and dancing in the sky.
Dull, angry clouds illuminating the
Infinite space and its surroundings.
Killing and melting everything in its path.
Gaea, Greek goddess of Earth, angry at
Her people. Smoke suffocating
The ones who are innocent, bombs crushing
And smothering everyone to the ground.
High viscosity pahoehoe streaming as fast as
A high speed car chase. No one can stop
This evil creature, not even Zeus himself can
Stop the mighty
Powerful phenomena of Gaea.
After thousands of people are dead, the goddess
Of Earth has finally tranquilized.
The composite cone erupts no more.

I love geology stuff, volcanoes being one of my many favorite geologic features, and so because of this I just thought of a volcano and thought of Pompeii and wrote this poem.
