There is no reprieve
For the confusion I feel
All my emotion locked on the inside
Especially my feelings for you
I ended things and we parted ways
You didn't ask how or why
But took it in your stride
So now I'm standing here
filled with so much regret
I long for your embrace
And although I'll never say so
It now pains me to see you go
I'll miss you forever dear
Forever I'll curse my poor choice
Now it's time to face the music
You'll leave me in the dust
And locked away my heart will stay
Until it begins to rust.
