prayer
I glue my fingers together when I pray.
He says I don’t know what to say.
He tries to see my words but I get lost with the birds.
They say I’ll never win but I always pray when I sin.
There’s no reason to live when you're hanging on your last pin.
You try to bring them back;
but you step on a crack.
The whole thing explodes,
and you never know.
But when I pray I see something different,
I see the thing I prohibit.
Never going back to the way things used to be;
they’re going to be in the tree.
The tree that never lets you go it only sets your goals.
