True love

I'm a hand to hold when no one else is there,

I'm ears to listen and care,

I'm there even when life gets tough,

I'm said a lot but not enough,

I'm a smile at the end of a long day,

I'm a ring that sparkles in a special way,

I'm short and tall, dumb and smart,

I'm invisible to the eyes, but seen by the heart,

I'm a battle that's constantly fought,

I'm always there whether you like it or not,

I'm a quiet agreement and a big fuss,

I'm called accidental but built upon purpose,

I'm whispered, assumed, asked, and chanted,

and when I'm gone, you'll see I was taken for granted,

I'm young and old, but never go out of style,

and I'm irreplaceable, famous, even put on trial,

I'm a magic worker that can never quit,

and you'll find me when you least expect it,

I come from family, friends, and the great above,

I am what you call true love
