Not easy to be a lot of nothing
Dealing with the ones around you could come up as mistrusting
You shouldn’t address the issue if you wanna keep a good name
Because your life isn’t near as important as money, fortune, and fame
But then there’s that one person
Who chooses to walk when everyone runs
Who chooses to stand when everyone sits
Who chooses to stay when everyone splits
This one person can completely change the world
The intent in their eyes shows dedication
The only bright blue crayon in a black and white nation
Their inner beauty exceeding others…
Then why, I ask are they treated as if simply another.
They are different
They are unique
And they deserved to be treated as such
Their every move should be labeled with their very own touch
Even though they stand out
They look as if they belong here
Their entire demeanor should show no fear
To be who they are.
Because the differences that they reflect
Will help us relate similarities we couldn’t detect
When we finally decide to accept each other as we are
We’ll be able to be closer whether living near or far
