Until there was you, they all got it wrong.
Micah - forgot the hazelnut.
Jeremy - 2% milk.
Craig - added Splenda.
Miguel - iced, even though we dated in February.
Ezekiel - a grande.
Lola - all regular
Her brother - all decaf.
(It didn’t work out. With either of them.)
But then there was you. You turned to me in the elevator and said, “Listen, do you want this coffee? They messed it up the first time so they gave me another for free.”
A tall, hot, half-decaf hazelnut latte. 1% milk.
And I knew you were the one.
