Two hearts
Two hearts meet in a void.
One talks. Walks. Crumbles.
The other pieces it back together.
The first heart is all the more beautiful for being broken.
The second is the same, but forgotten.
Two hearts meet again in the world.
One says it doesn't matter.
The other still cares.
The first says it wishes to be remembered.
The second remembers.
Two hearts beat together in a field.
Some say it rained.
The first said it did.
The second didn't. It poured.
Both die the same as every other heart.
Both die nameless and forgotten.
