Trees These Days
The trees blow in the wind
They feel the cold fall wind on their leaves
Their roots tense up
Their branches stiffen
Though things could be worse for these trees
They could be cut down like their rainforest brothers
They could have never existed at all
When they grow tall chances are they’ll fall
Man tells lies to himself
He says more trees will be planted
But how is the population supposed to survive
When we are killing more than we are planting
We as a civilization need to be aware
We are killing ourselves by killing these trees
These trees are our oxygen
Which allow us as humans to live and to be
