Favorite Quote:
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

If I were to be asked who I was, I would answer definitively
I am Vashay M.
Only this time,
The question was asked figuratively

Not who I was in society
Who I was consciously
About my lineage and
What they taught me about propriety

My bloodline is rimmed with Natural Ice, Brandy and NewPort box 100
Lined with Field Workers, maids, and light skinned house slaves
My family’s hearts were trimmed with the fat of the flesh from
Ham hocks, Madea’s Mac & Cheese and pound cakes with glaze

Not many bellies were round from wealth & riches
Cept my Uncle Freddie
My uncle Brian was poor
But got all the ------

Both died
Physical bones laid in wooden cases
Spirits sent away for their homecoming
Free from the demon’s chases

Sundays of pews
Saturdays of BBQ’s
and Fridays of 100 miles on i 469
Left my family of three with
sleepy eyes and delirious sighs

Yahweh(God) is my spiritual bind
and Yeshua (Jesus) is my release?
Time, Trials, Temptation and Testimonies

Asked again
Only wanting to know who I will be
What present decisions
Will lead to future transgressions
