The Different One
He’s the Boy
Sitting alone
At that lunch table
As students stares
Whispering cruel words
He’s the boy known as “faggot”
That’s what the kids all called him
His real name was Jimmy
But nobody seemed to cared
All they knew was
He was different
Why does it seem difficult?
To accept the things
We aren’t used to
When he’s just like us
Just loves a little different
Love is a beautiful thing
Even with the hidden secrets
An undiscovered species
Just waiting to be accepted
