An open door of beaming light,
A heart filled with pure delight.
The warmth overcomes any hard feelings,
And turns to the product of a chocolate in a microwave.
Mush.
Whenever they’re around
The missing puzzle piece is found,
The key to the lock finally fits,
The glue hardens and locks the vase in place.
A cheerful boom of laughter here, a million around the corner.
It’s a never-ending record tape,
That fascinates and intrigues you.
When the glue cracks
or the puzzle piece snaps,
Or the key bends,
It’s family.
They are the roots that hold your
Flimsy self of a tree to the ground.
They are the sun just behind the clouds,
And they will never leave you because you are
Family.

I was inspired to write this because whenever Im mad or sad I flip to this poem and remember that there are people out there who care and love you. No matter what you do, or what they do, they're your blood.
