Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

Words can float
Did you know?
They mix and mingle
And jumble and so.

Reading is a luxury
It’s a like a gift
You can’t appreciate
Until that impairing cloud’s lift.

Looking at a book,
I feel blind,
And people point and laugh
At the kid in a grind.

When school starts,
I’m led around,
To my new classes that
Without my friend I wouldn’t have found.

I have to tell my teacher
About how not to call me,
Because reading’s a privilege,
A privilege that deserts me.

But there will be a day,
Where teacher is sick,
And the sub will entertain the class
By choosing me to pick.

Words can float
Did you know?
They mix and mingle
And jumble and so.
