Love Fall
Sweatshirts and boots,
Hair down everyday,
Blowing in the crisp air.
Red, orange, and yellow leaves,
Swaying on every tree,
The crisp fall air cuts through the trees, swoosh,
The crunch under my feet of leaves and sticks.
The countdown of the clock,
As the girls dribble down and back across the court,
Scoring left and right,
fighting for each point.
Basketball, volleyball, track all in a row.
The pumpkin patch,
My favorite place to be in the fall,
Crowds of people rushing in and out of the patch,
Wagons full of tiny/huge pumpkins,
Halloween is a spooky and magical night,
Children and their parents,
Running up and down the sidewalks of every subdivision,
Glow sticks and candy bags in hand knocking on each door,
Their smile and bag getting bigger with each house,
Laughter, screams, and Trick-or-Treats being yelled from every direction.
Apple cider and hot cocoa in one day,
Sugar rushes from 9am to 8pm,
Everything seems to blur,
Like you’re living in fast forward.
Thanksgiving,
it makes me full just thinking about it,
Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie,
Its the one time of year my fat side really comes out,
Seeing family I haven’t seen in months,
Chatting, laughing, and stuffing their faces.
Sunsets and sunrises are great,
They get prettier with each day,
Everyday seems to past,
Faster than than the last,
As the sun goes up then down,
We walk, talk, laugh, and argue,
Making memories with everyone we meet.
I love fall.
