as she sat next to a pile of leaves.

She was exhausted from running around all day.

Her face tilted at an angle .

She got up and looked around,

Silence.

With no one to say a word back ,

not even the trees .

not even the animals,

Nothing

Just

Silence.

She began to run through the forest .

back and forth pacing

Thinking

screaming

the words coming out louder and louder

but it only came out as a whisper.

then silence.

The trees swayed gently

She paced one more time praying she’d find the answer .

She didn’t .
