The Journey
I run, I climb, and I must survive
I feel as if I’m climbing to the sky
The wind hits my face as
I flow through the trees like air
I journey to the ends of the earth
 I smile to myself
I jump high and catch a leaf from the tall jungle trees
And I land on my feet
 I think about my destination
 To find it
I cross dark rivers and deserts alone
My nights end quickly and it’s back to my feet
 I must not wait
I stand and stare at the sun
 I see it
I lay my body to rest as I realize
I am nowhere but an old hospital bed.
