Damned Love
If I could say I love you, then I would.
But it is just not that easy, you see.
How can a nervous fool say what he should?
How would that nervous fool not look petty?
Therefore, the nervous fool will write and write.
For he can only say he loves that way.
By writing and writing through day and night.
That is the game the nervous fool will play.
And when the nervous fool has been bled out;
He states his love, and screams it all about.
But the poor fool’s lover is not devout.
Leaving the fool to sit and scream and shout.
So this is why he will not talk, you see?
I am afraid of what you’d say to me.
