Hello Fall
You can hear it…
the swoosh of an old life,
coming to an end.
You watch it.
It dances with the wind,
slowly falling to the ground...
it’s one and only performance.
The colors amaze you.
They’re always changing.
You know this won’t last long though.
The rainbow of color
will quickly turn.
WIth every step you take,
the crunch beneath your feet
will be the proof.
The wind will soon whip your face,
you’ll wish the warm colors were back.
But instead, the season will keep changing,
into the cold, colorless winter.
