A Life to Late
She lives in a world surrounded by a boy
He is given all the cards
Leaving her hopelessly waiting
As if her feeling are some sort of toy
When push comes to shove
He makes her feel so happy inside
But she is afraid of taking chances
And the possibility of unrequited love
She is left going mad as a hatter
Watching him say nothing
Pass through the halls without even a glace at her
Which deep down only leaves her sadder
So when she sits in her room
She decided life without him is unimaginable
And she changes herself
While she slowly makes her own doom
Wanting to be society’s version of hot
She secretly stops eating meals
Hoping she will become thinner
But that is only the beginning of her plot
As time goes by he still does not notice her
Next come the blades
Unsure how to deal with the pain of rejection
Thinking this will make her feel better for sure
Her voice becomes silent
Thinking life no longer has a purpose
With tears spilling down her face
She looks to her body and makes the blade more violent
The next day she is found dead
Leaving her parents without a daughter
A seat at school vacant
And many tears shed
Days pass while her room stays untouched
For the memories are too much to bare
But one day her mother goes into the uncharted territory
Seeing the things her daughter once clutched
As her mother went through her stuff
She found the dead girls laptop
Filled with every word the girl could never say
Including how she always felt like she was never enough
Flipping through old poems and letters
Although they were all about the same person
A boy who lived on their street
Which did not make her feel better
Deep down she knew all this was about a guy
So she printed every word out that referenced him
And brought it for him to read
Letting him know he was the reason why
But when he answered the door
He looked at the broken woman
Who stood in front of him with pieces of paper in her hand
Unaware what she was there for
Once he looked at the paper he had no words
Almost able to feel the emotion in her writing
Knowing he caused her so much pain
Leaving his eyes fogy and blurred
Cause he never know she felt this way
He had always like her
Although never had the nerve to talk to her
Or had no idea what to say
But now it is to late
These unsaid words became her untimely death
He stood their whispering to the sky “I loved you”
Sadly his words were a life to late
