The Spell
She sits on her bed, trying to fit into her jeans.
Tears begin to stream down her face as the zipper doesn't go up.
"I want to be pretty, I want to be a size 0," she says as she throws the magazine.
She looks in the mirror, hating how she looks.
Tears rush down her face.
"Why can't I have straight hair?" she says as she plays with her curly hair.
She begins to straighten every strand of her hair with anger.
"Why am I ugly?" she says as she puts on her makeup.
Nobody recoginzes her,
She was the beautiful girl who fell under the spell.
The spell of "perfection".
The spell cast down from society.
The spell that made a young girl hate herself.
The spell that blinded her from her true beauty.
