I am a boy who has grown into a man
I am a man who has followed a good path
I have found my purpose and reason for existing
I have went from being talked down to having my confidence brought up
I have learned things good and bad
Sometimes I feel as if I am supposed to be something great
Getting older I have learned that I must make the right decisions
One day I am going to be successful
I will never stop pursuing my goals
No one will ever stop me
And if you keep your confidence up and keep dreaming
You will achieve your goals and be successful to


The author's comments:
Darryl uses repetition in the beginning of his poem and specific details of what he has seemingly gone through in his life he uses diction and he also uses free verses in his poem to connect to his topic and he also uses anaphora Darryl made this poem to show readers that you should never have your head down and keep your confidence high he has addressed you can do what ever you want to do and be what ever you want to be as long as you put your mind to it Darryl has made this poem to simply boost peoples self confidence and help them realize they should never give up.
