Sadness at Every Turn

sadness
nothing more
nothing less
when love comes to one,
hatred comes to another.
People grow further and further apart,
until there is no bond left between them
the bond may never be fixed
but until then...
the future unread
the story untold.
there are no tears left to cry
because a river has already been created.
so i ask this,
why is it that all there seems to be is sadness.
