I need someone to hold me
To tell me it’s alright
Someone to wrap me in their arms
Embrace me through the night

I need someone to lean on
Support me when I’m weak
Someone to reassure me
When tears roll down my cheek

I need someone to guard me
To help me feel secure
Someone to rid me of my fears
To tell me that they’re sure

I need someone to love me
Like they have loved no other
Someone to say that I’m the one
Who sets their heart on fire

I need someone to hold me
Like a lover loves to do
Someone to wrap me in their arms
Embrace me - I need you
