I step onto the track
the rush of adrenaline shoots through my veins
like the venom of a snake.
I run up to the line and
BOOM!

We’re off running like the wind,
the crowd roars like thunder.
I hear the rhythm of feet tapping
thump, thump, thump.
There are opponents ahead of me
but, its a long enduring race.

I have a lap to surpass.
It feels like miles to the finish line.
The crowd’s energy and intensity empowers me.

I come down home stretch .
There is only one more person between me and the finish line.
I bolt like lightning.
A shot of exhilaration shoots through me.
I taste victory in my mouth.
I power through and exert all my
force
to be victorious!
