Dairra
Dairra, an extraordinary name
For an egregious girl
Admirable in her own way
Illustrious yet so humble and self kept
Rarely understood but known very well
Real and Honestly outspoken but never really HEARD
achieving
The various obstacles of life thrown her way
Yet... you’ll never see her sweat.
In the poem, Dairra, Dairra uses diction to elaborate and get her feelings across to the reader. She only uses punctuation once throughout her poem. She also is enjambment leaving her readers thinking and wondering her inner meaning. There is no white space. Is she confused? Is she having multiple feelings? She has a consistent structure in her poem for all except one word and one line. She’s mysterious.
