Because I'm Black
Just because I’m black,
Doesn’t mean I’m ghetto,
Doesn’t mean I’ll amount to nothing,
Doesn’t mean I have nappy hair.
Just because I’m black,
Doesn’t mean I don’t have a father in my life,
Doesn’t mean I’m a troublemaker,
Doesn’t mean I use slang.
Just because I’m black.
Why are there so many stereotypes?
Why are we still referred to as different?
What’s the difference between you and I?
Just because I’m black.
