The Blue
To have the dark cast away all of the light,
having it drag you down and choke you.
Nothing is left except the blue.
The dark blue that chokes and drowns.
The further you go down,
the darker the blue gets.
At first it is warm and vibrant,
but when you crash it becomes the color of the sky at midnight.
A bottom doesn’t exist here.
There is nothing but a pit.
Where the blue chokes you,
where the blue is your tears.
There are few ways out of the blue.
You can pour crimson red.
Or you can sit and suffer,
until you suffocate and lose your voice.
It’s hard sitting in the blue.
You wait for someone to rescue you,
but it’s the price you pay…
for the sins you commit.
