I See Pink
I see pink in the sunset,
a velvet dress,
ice cold strawberry lemonade,
a baby blanket,
bows in your hair,
the tips of her fingers,
flowers in the field where we played,
the cotton candy we shared,
our dresses that day,
the birthday cake at your party
all those years ago.
I see pink in our friendship,
never fading,
never changing.
Forever, I will see pink.
