Little red heart
I remember way back when we were kids
you kissed my hand and promised you loved me
I painted something for you,
before you left
I painted a big red heart
and I drew a little boy
and a little girl together
holding hands
it was my way of promising that I love you too
when you left
you took it with you
and a little part of me
sometimes I wonder
if you still have my heart
