The Storm
Dark black clouds rolled in from the North
Screams and sirens filled my ears
I stood near the edge
Waves crashed into the rocks below
Wind whistled through my hair
The ocean tried to warn us with tall vicious waves
We didn't listen so here we are
Turning on my heel I walk away
The storm powerful and mad follows
I see the shelter and my legs are now running
Sweat and rain roll down my cheeks
Any pain that I feel is washed away for the moment
Now inside, the storm continues to take out its anger on us
My house is hit by a giant wave of wind and water
Washing away the pain and sorrow that once lived there
The pain and hurt all washed away
Today is the start to a brand new day
Out on the cliff, I turn on my heel
Making my way to what is real
