The Mask
On my face, is a mask of happiness and care,
 But behind it hides sadness and despair;

 Depression and tension lurk at every corner,
 Suspicions and Fear are not at all foreigners;

 Bribery and Corruption, killing and murder,
 Not even did I hear once of a court order;

 Why you kidnap, and then provide a ransom,
 To tell you the truth, I can neither understand nor fathom;

 You refuse to make a legal, lawful living,
 I wonder why you don’t have any misgivings;

 I dream, I imagine, a world without you,
 A world where laughter rings in the air, a world where the sky is always blue;

 Darkness is being spread around like lice,
 Laughter is being licked by a billion termites;

 On my face, is a mask of happiness and care,
 But behind it hides sadness and despair.
