Death

Deaths sweet angel
Sits upon a rock
Preying on the young unsuspecting souls
Who say to themselves
“I am far out of her grasp”
She lurks in a corner
Hidden and menacing
They say it’s “God’s will”
But God has nothing to do with Deaths Sweet Angel
Shes Satans right hand woman
Taking a soul not yet ripe enough
To fall off the life tree
Deaths Sweet Angel
Shes not that sweet at all
Putting on an act
Making us believe they’re better off, enveloped in her arms.
Telling us “Nothing can harm them anymore”
Robbing the innocent
The baby not yet born
The child who never really lived
The smartest young man you met (just not smart enough to evade her)
The lonesome bullied kid (he invited her in)
The young woman hit by a drunk man
The Father to 3 young children
All those people
But you say “Yes them, but not me”
Ever thought?
Maybe
Just maybe
She has her eyes on you

After I had a miscarriage I really griped with the concept of death. I wrote this while I was really lost.
