Brave, unconcerned, mocking, violent-thus wisdom wants us: she is a woman and always loves only a warrior

scattered thoughts
Suddenly swallowed by signs

-gravitate in my direction

please.

Pools of crystal tears

drip

drip

drip

from my nostalgic eyes.

No, not from pain;

do not fret

sweet

caring

dear, I know you

mean well. Shivers of

memory stream down my

cheek.

What we had last week

may die today.

The distance

between my heart

and past loves

strikes the kindle

and burns

my tender

mind.

How shameful it is to watch a union fall apart

Empathetic hands stumble and shake on her nicotine lips

Forgotten, ignored, bitter adulation.

How shameful the childish gleam is tainted with reality

Never fully lost, hardly ever the same

Find me, inner child, skipping up.

Averted eyes

the scream

the new-

Am I changing?

This world?

You?

Please

come

home.

I crave, thirst, ache, long

for the past

of white sheets

unsaid words

zipper music;

battle these demons.

Remind me, dearly beloved

that the present

holds

greater truths

than the past.

Oh please: act.
