she was a girl
barely a teen
but her eyes showed age
from months of crying
she may be young
but her soul is withering;
ready to give out

The author's comments:
Over the summer, I was really depressed and people tell me that I am really mature for my age. Everyone complemented me on something but it meant nothing to me. That inspired me to write this poem.
