The Hunter and His Prey
The sun is high,
It’s autumn; it's cool,
O’er the sky will fly,
A bird; the hunter’s fool.
Camouflaged in green,
The hunter does sit,
His vision is keen,
His shots will hit.
The hunted bird fled,
The man groaned in dismay,
The bird was not dead,
Hunter must stay.
Up above the sky
It truly appears,
The bird does fly,
It has no fears.
Time goes past,
The poacher sighs,
Crime will not last,
The eagle still flies.
