Icy blue eyes
I walked through a room
With a mirror plastered across the wall
as I walked by
I noticed a stranger glancing curiously at me
He had a familiar face
One you can't quite place
Like the boy who passes by you in the hall
Or the actor on that show you don't watch
He had wondering, shining, beautiful blue eyes
Staring at me like I was strange, yet memorizing
Looking me over
Figuring out who I was
He stood in a room I walked 100 times
wearing the same blank outfit
I dawned earlier that day
He looked into my eyes
And I looked into his.
The cold glares we shared
Made me shiver and freeze
Like a lost wolf in a cold winter swale
The stranger looked terrified and unappealing
His eyes, deep in thoughts I couldn't recognize
For a long time, we gawked
Right as my thoughts filled with her face
The strange boy in the mirror had a look spark his eye I was finally able to decipher
It flowed with wonder,
Determination,
Loss,
Grief,
And above all,
Love.
As I squandered off back to my peaceful sanctuary
I knew I'd never forget that strange boy
With the familiar yet far away face
And the icy, lost blue eyes
