Christmas in Chicago
It was Chicago of 2009,
When I heard something from behind
Turning around, I saw a young man and his little boy;
I wondered why he had no toy
It appeared to me that he was poor,
I could also tell by the clothes he wore
Standing there, he gave me a holler,
So I went on over and gave him a dollar
Walking away, with a tear in my eye,
Imagining the pain they felt inside
That Christmas Day, I learned a life lesson.
It was," It's other people you should be blessin'."
