Robbing the Candy Store
Dragging my glass
Across the sticky counter top
As I make my way
To the ratty couch in the back
leave me alone
I hate fluff
I much prefer my love
Soaked in blood
And rolled in grit
I’d like you
A whole lot more
If you bit me back
My friends aren’t pretty
They’re just as disheveled
And crude as I am
But they understand
That I’d rather piece a cigarette
Than hug it out
Any day
Take your pity
And shove it up your a**
Back into your bleeding heart
I don’t need it
I’m more of a coward
Than I let on
I didn’t call my mother
Like I promised I would
I found myself reaching for the phone
With good intentions
But what could I say?
Don’t worry ma
I’ll make sure you get the plot next to dad
My eyes are bloodshot
I don’t care
My teeth are yellow
I don’t care
My clothes are wrinkled
I don’t care
My life is perfect
leave me alone
