"To die would be an awfully big adventure" - Peter Pan

I am like a butterfly
I am small but beautiful
I am fun but indifferent
I am kind hearted but strong willed
Sometimes I float with the wind
Sometimes I go my own direction
Like a butterfly I am

So I like the metaphor of the poem - being a butterfly - even if it could be considered a little cliche. In my opinion, though, that's only because the poem is too short. You don't allow yourself time to break through the stereotypical growth analogy that, by necessity, accompanies butterflies as symbols. It derives, no doubt, from the caterpillar-to-butterfly scenario often written about in literature; my point being, I thought this was well written (even though the last line does, in my opinion, come off a little pretentious, with the rearrangement of the subject-verb-object layout) but you didn't allow yourself enough space to make it really good. Either way, good poem.
