A Million Things
Have you ever talked in your dreams?
 Ran away from something
 That wasn’t even chasing you
Just to find out that you’re crazy.
 What a way to live.

I’ve seen so much that I thought
I would grow to fear what I’ve loved.
 I want a million things
 That I can’t make a list.
I thought I wanted the simple things,
 And I still do,
But I find myself wanting to break free.

I was the king of a century
 Long fantasy that I forgot
 What it meant to live.
Deep down I thought I knew
 What I wanted.
 I thought I knew what
 It meant to be wanted.

Many times have I counted down
That I lost track of when I knew
I wasn’t going to see the face of fear.
 A million things I want
But not enough pride to take.
Living simply in life is what I want
And it’s what I live for,
But I find myself wanting to break free.
